"If we allow our body to relax, self healing is unfolding itself."
Thich Naht Hanh

Acupressure is like other therapies such as Acupuncture and Reflexology based on the concept of  a persons energy respectively their flow of life force through the meridians. Acupressure is a non-invasive and effective way to stimulate the body's natural self-curative abilities. According to the theory a block in the flow of life force, called chi, or a block of the blood flow can result in discomfort or often in disease. To release the blockage or to promote energy flow the practitioner presses certain Acupressure points. The practitioner uses fingers, knuckles or hand palms sometimes elbows or feet to reduce pain, stress and to harmonize the whole body system.

Tibetan Acupressure-Compassionate Touch is a unique treatment application. The practitioner uses the movement of the finger and a twist of the wrist to deliver a connection to the acupressure point, allowing the body to deliver the correct electrical impulse. This means strong pressure is not needed, yet the point is stimulated causing a flow of energy through the meridian. During the session the practitioner uses Loving and Kindness and Tonglen with the receiving partner. Through Loving and Kindness happiness and joy is received and with the method of Tonglen, which is a breathing technique, suffering is transformed into joy, healing and love.

Tibetan Acupressure-Compassionate Touch uses points in the feet, legs, hands, arms, back, neck and head with a special twisting motion of the hand and fingers enhancing the body's energy to flow into the point.

The healing touch of Acupressure reduces tension, increases circulation and enables the body to relax deeply.

Tibetan Acupressure also strengthens resistance to disease and promotes wellness by stimulating immune function.

In our modern world more and more people are in need to release their stress before physical tension causes damage to internal organs. With this method the emotional body is addressed as well in the way that the accumulated tension caused by repressed feelings are released through the total relaxed state achieved during the session.

To experience harmony, health and well being the blood and the bio-electrical energy needs to circulate freely.

The Tibetan Acupressure session duration is 45 to 60 minutes. The recipient is in an upright sitting position. In this position the recipient is able to experience a total relaxed state, and often a few minutes or longer are required to come back after the session is complete. In this system the energy moves upwards, from the feet to the head. The session starts at the feet, moves up the legs, hands, shoulder, neck and head. In cases with chronic or acute problems particular points can be addressed additionally at the end of the session when the body is very relaxed and receptive.
